Local Community Organisations
City North Men's Shed Inc.
The City North Men's Shed (CNMS) is a not-for-profit incorporated association whose membership is open to the men (and women) resident or working in the northern end of the Sydney Central Business District (ie Circular Quay, The Rocks, Dawes Point, Millers Point, and Barangaroo).
We are currently located within the Millers Point Co-Op at 87 Lower Fort Street, Millers Point.
CNMS is in its formative stages and its activities are intended to provide connection with the community, a place to meet like-minded people and to engage in activities that will promote the mental and physical well-being of its members.
Initial activities will include learning and promoting wood-working skills and using those skills for community based projects and activities. It is also anticipated that the CNMS will provide a venue for discussions and guest lectures on a variety of topics relevant to men's health.
The membership will predominantly be drawn from retired men living in apartments, however, we are aware of other men in our community who may be still working and simply wishing to gain basic wood-working skills or to drop in and chat with their neighbours.
CMNS generally meets on Thursdays, 1000-1300, but will expand to meet the needs of members.
