The Walsh Bay Precinct Assoc. would like to inform you of the latest update for the issue regarding construction trucks parking on Hickson Rd.
We have received complaints over the past month due to the number of trucks arriving from 5:30 am weekdays. please see a photo of the company name. The trucks are traveling to a North Sydney construction site, however, we do not have the exact location and any further information on this.
The Precinct office has been in contact with Council and Sydney City Traffic Services who have both advised that the trucks are parked legally as long as they do not have engines running.
Residents are asked to contact the above if they witness engines left running at the time of the issue.
City Traffic Services did attend this week and spoke to the trucks and found out that they are not waiting to go to a site in North Sydney. They will speak to the company on our behalf, but as they are parked legally, Traffic Services cannot take any action. However, they will continue to monitor the area.
